THE PROCLAIMERS - Scotland's Story [PERSEVERE/Nettwerk]
Although these guys are folk-rock, they sometimes pen a terrific
"modern folk" song. This one's worthy of comparison to anything
Alan Reid or Brian McNeill have done with Battlefield Band.
	Peter Ostroushko guests on fiddle.
PETER OSTROUSHKO - Bury Me Beneath the Willow [BLUE MESA/Red House]
An old traditional song; Pete says it's one of his very favorite
old-time numbers. Beautiful, beautiful singing and mandolin-playing
	here.

MARVIN GASTER - Chicken's Crowing at Midnight [UNCLE HENRY'S FAVORITES/
	Rounder]
THE RED CLAY RAMBLERS - Saro Jane [RAMBLER/Sugar Hill]
MEMPHIS JUG BAND - Memphis Shakedown [HARRY SMITH'S ANTHOLOGY OF
	AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC, VOL. 4/Revenant]
BRADLEY KINCAID - Dog and Gun [HARRY SMITH'S ANTHOLOGY OF AMERICAN FOLK
	MUSIC, VOL. 4/Revenant]

THE RED STICK RAMBLERS - Alabama Jubilee [live at Grant Street Dance Hall]
A hot set, led off by by the Ramblers, who play swing/jazz/Cajun
and you-name-it. This is from an MP3 on their web site, but their
debut album will be out on LouisianaRadio.com Records by the
	end of the month. http://www.strongboxdesign.com/redstickramblers/
THE HOT CLUB OF COWTOWN - Chinatown, My Chinatown [SWINGIN' STAMPEDE/
	Hightone]
DJANGO REINHARDT AND THE QUINTETTE OF THE HOT CLUB OF FRANCE - Honeysuckle
	Rose [DJANGOLOGY 49/Bluebird-RCA]
LOUIS ARMSTRONG AND HIS HOT FIVE - Hotter Than That [LOUIS ARMSTRONG:
LES ANNÉES DE GLOIRE/Radio France-Harmonia Mundi]

STACEY EARLE AND MARK STUART - Wedding Night [MUST BE LIVE/Gearle]
Their fine new 2-CD live album.
HANK WILLIAMS III - Lonesome For You [RISIN' OUTLAW/Curb]
A song by Buddy and Julie Miller.
GINNY HAWKER - Looking For A Place to Fall Apart [LETTERS FROM MY
	FATHER/Rounder]
	A song by Merle Haggard.

DEWEY BALFA, MARC SAVOY & D. L. MENARD - J'ai Passé devant
ta porte (I passed in front of your door) [EN BAS DU CHÊNE VERT/
	Arhoolie]
By request! One of the most well-known Cajun waltzes.
THE BALFA BROTHERS - Le Two-step de l'Anse aux Pailles [THE BALFA BROTHERS
	PLAY TRADITIONAL CAJUN MUSIC/Swallow]
THE BASIN BROTHERS - La Valse de Pont d'Amour (Love Bridge Waltz)
	[DANS LA LOUISIANE/Rounder]
MICHAEL DOUCET & CAJUN BREW - Woman or a Man [BEAUSOLEIL: THE BEST
	THE CRAWFISH YEARS, 1985-1991/Rounder]
This track isn't technically Beausoleil -- it's Mike Doucet plus
his former accordion/sax player Pat Breaux's band Cajun Brew, with
Richard Thompson (!) sitting in on guitar. Wow.

BEAU JOCQUE AND THE ZYDECO HI-ROLLERS - Give Him Cornbread [THE BEST
OF BEAU JOCQUE AND THE ZYDECO HI-ROLLERS/Rounder]
BIG MAMA THORNTON - Little Red Rooster [BALL 'N CHAIN/Arhoolie]
BIG BILL BROONZY - Good Liquor Gonna Carry Me Down [I CAN'T BE SATISFIED/
	Magnum America]
MUDDY WATERS - Good Morning, Little Schoolgirl [MUDDY WATERS: HIS BEST,
	1956-1964/Chess]
	By request!

DICK GAUGHAN - The Yew Tree [OUTLAWS AND DREAMERS/Appleseed]
Speaking of Brian McNeill ... here's one of his songs, leading
off the new Gaughan album. And hey, it's just Dick on vocals
and guitar, accompanied by Brian himself on fiddle and concertina!
This song depicts a view of Scotland and seen from the perspective
of a 1,000 year old yew tree in Lothian that's probably seen it all.
LÚNASA - The Merry Sisters of Fate/The Longacre [THE MERRY SISTERS
	OF FATE/Green Linnet]
DERVISH - There Was A Maid in her Father's Garden [MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT/
	Compass]
Vocals by Cathy Jordan, and lovely ones at that. I first heard
this song as "There Was A Lady", sung by Tríona Ní
	Dhomhnaill on Relativity's first album.

THE MOVIE STARS - Chords of Fame [HEAD ON A PLATTER/Whirlaway]
My favorite Phil Ochs cover of all time.
DR. JOHN - Litenin' [CREOLE MOON/Blue Note]
