     band Train to Sligo.  This was Midnight Well's only album.

UNCLE TUPELO - Postcard [STILL FEEL GONE/Rockville]  Noisy and sublimely
     gorgeous, all in the same song.  Brilliant country/punk.  Even 
     though they're broken up now, the more I listen to this band the more
     I think they're one of my top two or three favorite bands of all time.
MIKE WATT with FRANK BLACK - Chinese Firedrill [BALL-HOG OR TUGBOAT?/
     Columbia]  Wild stuff, noisy and quiet, with about a million guest
     performers.  Just get it.
BAD LIVERS - If It Runs [DELUSIONS OF BANJER/Quarterstick]  Austin's great
     bluegrass-band-that-a-punk-rocker-would-love ...
UNCLE TUPELO - Black Eye [MARCH 16-20, 1992/Rockville]  Gorgeous. Two
     acoustic guitars and Jeff Tweedy's voice.
COWBOY MOUTH - Why Ya Wanna Do Me? [IT MEANS ESCAPE/Monkey Hill]  Bit of
      a shock of a segue, I know ... great song, though!
 
DR. JOHN - Junko Partner [GUMBO/Alligator]
DONALD HARRISON JR. with BIG CHIEF DONALD HARRISON SR., THE GUARDIANS OF
     THE FLAME and DR. JOHN - Big Chief [INDIAN BLUES]  Great mix of
