See note below this staff) D7 D7 D7 ----15-----------------------------0---------------------0- -12-15b17---15-----15-------1------------------------------ ------------14b16--14----------------2<14>----<7>---<7>---- -----------------------------<12>---------------<7>---<7>-- -----------------------<12>-------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- All of these natural harmonics are tricky. The 2<14> means fret the 2nd fret and pluck a natural harmonic on the 14th fret (which I guess would make it an "artificial harmonic", but who cares about semantics?). The best way to accomplish this is to fret all of the notes you're going to need (in this case, the 1st fret on the B string and the 2nd fret on the G) and then grab the pick with your thumb and middle finger, which leaves your index finger to do the harmonic- making. So, to get the <12>, put your right index finger over the 12th fret and pluck behind it with your pick (being held by your middle finger and thumb, remember?). Then use your ring finger to pluck the B string, then the harmonic trick on the D string, ring finger on the high E, and harmonic trick on the G string. Simple, eh? Okay, back to the solo...
