:::::::::: Blue Canoe :::::::::: by Blue Mountain "Dog Days" (1995, Roadrunner) Tabbed by Joseph Rinkevich This song is not nearly as hard as all the numbers below make it out to be. The way I've done it here is somewhat similar to the slide on the Allman Bros tune, "Melissa," if you are familiar with that one. The additional notes on the e and B strings are played with the little finger (work 'em in wherever they sound good). The _Dog Days_ recording of this seems to have multiple guitar layers, or Cary may have used an alternate tuning to get that effect. As a result, for simplicity, I used the regular old EADGBe tuning. If anyone knows the alternate tuning, please let me know. Listen to the song and play along to get the rhythm...the number of beats on this tab are most-likely a bit off. Also, one last disclaimer: I'm not too sure about some of the lyrics. Edit at will. The "s" indicates a slide up/down the neck to the next chord, and the "b" is where you bend the string up to the equivalent of, in this case, the 3rd fret. Below are the chord changes for the intro and verse. As for the chorus, the chords are the same, but the changes are a bit different, but nothing too difficult. See lyrics.
