Tonight's show pays tribute to Harry Smith's monumental and 
influential 6-disc compilation, "The Anthology of American Folk Music", 
released by Folkways Records 50 years ago this week.  The box set 
was remastered, bolstered with expanded liner notes and re-released 
on CD by Smithsonian-Folkways in 1997.

Album notations:  AAFM 1-A, 1-B, 2-A, 2-B, 3-A and 3-B refer to 
discs from the original set.  AAFM 4-A and 4-B refer to the 
previously unreleased Volume 4, which came out on Revenant Records
in 2000.
