PETER CASE - I Shook His Hand [PETER CASE/Geffen] When I dug this out last week I hadn't heard it in years, and remembered how much I loved it, being Peter's first solo effort post-Plimsouls. We'll be hearing more of it over the next few weeks. DERRICK SHEZBIE - Paul Barbarin's Second Line [SPODIE'S BACK/Qwest] This guy's grown up playing street jazz in New Orleans, playing with the ReBirth Brass Band, New Birth and other. He made this record 8 years ago at age 19.
